The StarterHouse was designed for the serious home gardener. It's a whopping 8' long by 4' wide - one of the largest coldframes we've ever seen. It accommodates 16 standard seed flats in its 32 sq. ft. of growing space, even though it's lightweight and portable.

This pop-up style coldframe allows you to effectively extend the growing season, starting seeds earlier in spring, or growing a crop of salad greens late in the fall. The StarterHouse also affords excellent protection from slugs, snails and rabbits. There are two convenient portholes to accommodate hoses and power cords, so you can easily add drip irrigation or heating cables.

In a sunny spot, the StarterHouse works just like a greenhouse, collecting solar heat during the day and releasing it at night. Four large zippered windows (42" x 38") provide ventilation and access to plants from either side. When less ventilation is needed, use the smaller zippered vents (24" x 16"). All openings are screened for pest protection. When windows and vents are closed, maximum heat and humidity levels are maintained.

The SeedHouse comes with ground stakes, a carrying and storage bag, and a shade cover. Our unique Gro-Tec material is UV resistant, waterproof, and features rip stop protection.

Our SeedHouse is a smaller and more affordable coldframe that's suitable for seed starting on a smaller scale. It measures 30" square by 26" high, and offers the same screened, zippered windows.
