The Juliana Compact series is an upgrade from our Basic series. As compared to the Basic, the Compact series features a stronger frame that’s more stable in windy areas, plus thicker 6mm polycarbonate panels to provide more insulation for colder climates. With this particular model, you’ll also enjoy expanded headroom and double doors that allow easy access with a cart or wheelbarrow. (See list of features below for details!)

While the Basic is recommended for extending the growing season in spring and fall, the Compact greenhouse is designed for year-round use in many climates. It’s available in the standard mill finish, or an attractive green powder-coat.

About the glazing:

Our polycarbonate panels have many advantages. The twin wall construction features air channels that create an insulating effect, much like the thermal windows in your home. This promotes more even temperatures within the greenhouse, which provides better growing conditions for your plants. Our polycarbonate also has UV-resistant coating to prevent sun damage. It is virtually unbreakable.

Anchoring the greenhouse:

All greenhouses must be attached to a base or foundation for stability and support. This item conveniently includes both the greenhouse and steel base designed to fit the Juliana Compact 12.1 Greenhouse. The base is made from durable, rust-proof galvanized steel and all fittings needed for assembly are included - just pour a concrete footer for each steel spike in the base. (You might also choose to build a foundation from 6X6 landscape timbers or brick. If you choose this route, you can purchase the Juliana Compact 12.1 Greenhouse by itself here.)
